Well done Marriott Lax – for this trip I found another nice special rate available on the Marriott website. The promo was/is the sip and save – includes the room, 2 drinks at the hotel bar (any drink), a gift from the concierge that I did not stop by to get and a discount in the shops. The rate with just the 2 bar drinks was less than an equivalent room only rate, so that was a nice rate perk.

After checking in on the app, I saw my room was upgraded to a club level room and then later in the day I was upgraded again to a 1 bedroom club level suite. This put my room in the 17th floor, 1 floor below the excellent Club Lounge in the 18th floor.
The room is great and a fantastic upgrade from the base king room I booked. Once again #ambassadorstatusmatters

I received a very nice welcome gift in the room. It’s quite a basket of goodies, and I’ll have some good snacks for the 6 hour flight back to the east coast
