Back at the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay for a 12 night stay. Once again I was able to find a special member rate within the budget – I’ll also be meeting with a sales rep this week to work out a corporate rate.

Juanny, my new contact here, set us up with a great room (my wife decided to join in this trip) on the 31st floor with a balcony, view of the bay, cruise ports and downtown Brickell. This is a fantastic room upgrade from the room I booked. No it’s not the Jr. Suite I had a couple weeks ago, but I wouldn’t expect that level of upgrade for the length of my stay anyway.

Our room had a nice welcome gift in it when we arrived, and I crossed the spend threshold on the 1st night. On the 2nd night, Juanny sent up a delicious charcuterie tray, bottle of wine and note congratulating me on moving back to Ambassador status.

Once again, the staff that we encounter are excellent. The menu in the bar and restaurant changed this week. I’m not as much of a fan as the previous menu, as it is even more seafood heavy. Yes I know we’re staying on the bay/nearly oceanfront, but we’re just not seafood eaters.

Paula, the F&B manager is another great asset to the staff. She does a great job of working the F&B areas. She has taken our feedback, and others that are return guests on the updated menu – all while explaining the new menu, and coming up with options on the menu that weren’t readily apparent.

We have another week here and with how close we are to Brickell, will be getting out more this week to try out some more local cuisine.
