I surprised MaureenTravels tonight with a trip to Vegas to see Adele for our  anniversary. We’re staying at the Marriott’s Grand Chateau, Las Vegas again. We like this location for its lack of a casino, free valet parking, ease of access to the strip and the options when booking a room on points.

There are usually a few room options to choose from on points – given it’s a vacation property – and sometimes there are some good points saver rates. To me it’s a no brainer to go with the 850 sq. foot 1 bedroom villa.

I just checked the rate again tonight, and shaved 5,600 points off the original reservation I made last week, bringing it down to164,200 points for a 1 bedroom Villa priced at $2,152 – so a decent .013 redemption as well.

We’re going to the June 24th show. Anyone else going that night?
