Back for a few nights at the Marriott Owings Mills Metro Centre Hotel I think this is my 6th or 7th stay here in the last year, and it still doesn’t disappoint.
Â
I booked a room using a AAA rate. Lately I’ve been finding this rate code to be the best overall value and there are usually a few room options, vs most of the corporate codes I’m authorized to use and the Bonvoy Business 7% discount.
Â
For this trip I found a good, $206/night rate for a Deluxe King Corner Room. I’ve stayed in quite a few different rooms here, and for a King room, this deluxe one does have much more room than other Kings Ive stayed in here before.
Â
I didn’t ask for, or get an upgrade – unless it was to a higher floor (6 of 10), but I did book a king Corner room, and got what I booked. I have stayed in other king Corner suites here, which are much larger, but I am pleased with the room I booked and received and have more than enough room for myself.
Â
As a data point, I think my suite upgrade percentage as Ambassador here was about 90% ..if not exactly 90, it was very high and generally never requested.
Â
Work will keep bringing me back to the area over the next 18 months or so. While some of it is closer to the harbor area, this newer hotel is still getting it right and is pretty central to the job sites.
