Executive Summary & Stay Context
This is one of our favorite, and go-to locations on South Beach when I can find a rate that works. During my June 2024 five-night Miami hotel hop, Night 3 brought me back to the Royal Palm South Beach Miami, a Tribute Portfolio Resort.

Room 602: West Tower Corner Suite with Soaking Tub
I booked a basic King room using a corporate rate and was upgraded to Room 602 in the West Tower. A corner room suite with balcony that overlooks the hotel entrance way and Collins Ave.
This room did not have the extra large walk-in shower some of the other rooms do, but it did have a very large soaking tub that the other rooms do not have. The corner orientation gave the space expansive natural light and direct sightlines down the Collins Avenue corridor.
Reopening of the Compass Rose Bar
The Compass Rose Bar in the lobby entrance was open during my stay. This is the 1st time since 2019 that I’ve stayed here that it’s been open.
Some of the things we love about this hotel are the Art Deco design, and the entrance and lobby really shine when the bar is alive.
I took advantage of a good Happy Hour drink and food menu. Angelica behind the bar crafted a fantastic strawberry cocktail, and the pork carnitas tacos she recommended were delicious.

The Royal Palm’s resort grounds seamlessly bridge the historic Art Deco district and the beachfront boardwalk.
Whether dropping in for a single night between downtown meetings or settling in for an extended weekend, the combination of strong Ambassador recognition, comfortable suites, and historic South Beach character keeps the Royal Palm at the top of our Miami rotation.
