Back at the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay for a 12-night stay. Once again I was able to find a special member rate within our travel budget, and I’ll also be meeting with a sales rep this week to establish an ongoing corporate rate.

My wife Maureen decided to join me for this trip. Juanny, my contact here, set us up with a great room on the 31st floor with a private balcony offering sweeping views of the bay, the cruise ship channels, and downtown Brickell.
This is a fantastic room upgrade from the entry-level city view room I booked. While it’s not the massive 2-Queen Junior Suite I had a couple of weeks ago, you wouldn’t expect that tier of specialty suite upgrade across a 12-night booking anyway. The high-floor panoramic view more than made up for it.
Ambassador Threshold Milestone & Recognition
Our room had a lovely welcome gift waiting upon arrival. On our 1st night, eligible folio charges pushed my year-to-date qualifying spend across the threshold required to retain Ambassador Elite status.
On our 2nd night, Juanny sent up a delicious charcuterie board, a bottle of wine, and a handwritten note warmly congratulating me on crossing the Ambassador threshold and moving back into top-tier status. This caliber of personal, proactive recognition demonstrates why this hotel has become our regular Miami home base.
Food & Beverage Operations: Paula & The Updated Menu
Once again, the hotel staff we encountered across all departments were top tier.
The menu in the bar and main restaurant changed this week. I am personally not as much of a fan of the new menu compared to the previous version, as it leans even heavier into seafood options. While understandable given the waterfront marina location on Biscayne Bay, neither of us are seafood eaters.
Here, Paula, the F&B Manager, proved to be an invaluable asset to the property. She does a tremendous job managing the food and beverage venues. She actively listened to our feedback (and the reactions of other returning frequent guests) regarding the updated menu—all while carefully walking us through alternative preparations and coming up with off-menu options that were not readily apparent.
With how close the property sits to downtown Brickell, we will also be getting out to explore the neighborhood dining scene during our second week.
24-Hour M Club Operations
The M Club on the ground/mezzanine level provided steady utility throughout this 12-night engagement.
Evening hors d’oeuvres rotate nightly; the chicken wings were seasoned and cooked to perfection, and evening dessert spreads consistently hit the spot. Having 24/7 access to fresh Starbucks coffee, sparkling waters, and cold beverages kept work productivity high.
