My wife and I just finished up 2 nights at the Bohemian Hotel Celebration, Autograph Collection. We received a nice upgrade to a 2nd floor balcony King room, overlooking the lake and downtown Celebration. The hotel was full with quite a few holiday parties and weddings. It was nice to get an upgrade on my discounted corporate rate with the hotel as full as it was.

Downtown Celebration Holiday Atmosphere
Downtown Celebration is in full holiday mode—with lights, a large decorated tree, sleigh/pumpkin horse rides, and more. The center of town has a nice holiday, Disney feel to it.
We’ve stayed here quite a few times over the last 4 years—one of my companies’ offices is nearby, so it’s my preferred place to stay and my wife usually joins me when I’m traveling down here. This hotel has been one of our favorite US hotels:
- Part of that is the prime lakeside location in the heart of town.
- A big part of it is the staff, who consistently remember us.
- Some of it is the excellent status recognition in the form of upgrades.
- And the last tangible thing is that it was a Kessler Collection hotel… well, it WAS up until November 1st of this year.
Transition from Kessler Collection to Vision Hospitality Group
We found out this weekend that the hotel was sold in October to the Vision Hospitality Group.
My wife first noticed the bathroom to be different with no Kessler Collection amenities. Then looking at our keys, they were standard Marriott keys rather than the signature artsy Kessler keys. Upon taking a walk downtown, we noticed the name of the hotel has changed from Bohemian Celebration to just the Celebration Hotel.
After talking with some of the staff—who remembered us from previous stays ❤️—we learned that the hotel is about to undergo a complete remodel and transformation, likely starting in the spring or early summer.
Portfolio Outlook & Verdict
We’re going to miss this as a Kessler Collection property, but are excited to see what Vision Hospitality will bring to refresh the hotel.
This is their 1st hotel in Florida, their 2nd Autograph Collection property, and the 41st in their hotel portfolio. They operate 20 other Marriott properties, alongside 20 others across the Hilton and Hyatt brands.
Even in the midst of brand transition and a fully booked house hosting holiday banquets and weddings, Ambassador recognition remained steadfast with a premium water-view balcony upgrade. We look forward to returning post-remodel.
