What spend qualifies for Marriott Bonvoy points?
Under Bonvoy terms, points are earned on qualifying room rates, on-property restaurant & bar charges billed to the room, room service, in-room movies, and on-site spa treatments. Taxes, parking, resort fees, gratuities, and third-party vendor charges do not earn base points.
Which brands earn 5 base points instead of 10?
Extended-stay brands earn 5 base points per dollar: Residence Inn, TownePlace Suites, Element, Protea Hotels, and Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy. All other brands earn 10 base points per dollar.
How are Elite Status bonus points calculated?
Elite multipliers are applied to your Base Points (not total spend): Silver (+10%), Gold (+25%), Platinum (+50%), and Titanium/Ambassador (+75%). For example, $1,000 eligible spend at a standard brand yields 10,000 base points + 7,500 Ambassador bonus = 17,500 points.
Is my folio stored or uploaded to any server?
No. The scanner runs entirely in your client web browser sandbox. The PDF file is parsed in memory using JavaScript and destroyed as soon as you navigate away or refresh. Zero records are stored on our servers.
Do back-to-back reservations at the same property earn a new Welcome Gift?
No. Under Marriott Bonvoy Terms (Section 1.3.d), consecutive nights at the same property are defined as a single continuous "Stay"—even if booked under separate confirmation numbers to lock in lower nightly rates, or if you extend by a day before/after. You receive full Elite Night Credits and base points on all nights, but stay-based bonuses (like the 1,000 welcome gift points or per-stay promotional bonuses) only trigger once on initial check-in.
