Staying 5 nights at the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay this week. I come to Miami quite a bit for work, and usually stay at the Miami Airport Marriott as pricing fits the budget. Sometimes I can find a hotel in South Beach for the right price, but not usually this time of year. I have also searched this hotel in the past, but it’s usually out of my work budget price.
Â
This week I found a great member, special rate for a King, Biscayne Bay view room, 5,000 extra points per night, free self parking and 2 welcome drinks at the bar. Mon-Thurs the nightly rate is $161, with Friday night at $269. Yes the hotel does have a $30/day resort fee – there are various things to do with it, or just apply it as a nightly $30 Food and Beverage credit from the bar or restaurant.

Check in with the FDA went fantastic. There were a few people checking in, but the line moved quick. I chatted it up a bit with the FDA, letting her know it was my 1st time here vs my usual stays at the airport. I asked if any of the Jr. suites with the amazing Biscayne Bay views were available – she had already slotted me into a King Bayview room on the 28th floor. She asked me to hold on, went in the back to speak to someone, and came out with a smile.
Â
Do I want the good or bad news? Well with that smile, there can’t be any bad news She was able to move me to a Jr. suite on the 16th floor. The bad news? It’s 2 Queens instead of 1 King. Not a problem at all!!

The room is fantastic! The hotel is newly remodeled, and its so nice with everything fresh and new. The room has 2 thermostats and they are tied together to adjust the temp all the way down to 64 degrees in unison.
Â
The M club here is open 24 hours (I believe have to dbl check hours), offers breakfast, all day snacks/drinks/coffee, along with evening bites and dessert. I will say the club here, quality of food and overall experience is noticeable above what is offered at the Airport Marriott.
Â
Then pool is closed for refurbishment, guests can use the pool at the DoubleTree Hotel that shares the building. Outside the hotel M club there is a “party deck” that has chairs, tables, foosball, ping pong and outdoor billiards.
Â
So far this place is hitting it out of the park for a work stay.
